Well, if you haven’t noticed already…….Painthchips & Cupcakes has officially been made over!
I hope you are enjoying the new look and layout. I LOVE IT! I had been on the hunt for a design/layout/banner/logo since I started this ambitious adventure. Once I came up with the name of the blog, it was just a matter of how to pull it all together. I also wanted to take my new design and apply it towards all of my gift and calling cards. Since I had barely figured out (still learning) how to blog, how was I going to figure out how to create something so unique and one of kind? And apply it to a banner for wordpress? Well I guess karma was on my side because it was a chance happening but FATE drew me to a lovely woman named……….ta da ta da………JAR. Jodi Ann Reeves! See, I told you it was fate! I was just searching through Etsy and decided to look for paintchip art and low and behold I found it through The Creative JAR. She had these beautiful pieces of artwork, recycled paintchips with hand illustrations and I instantly fell in love with them. I emailed her immediately to see if she could do a custom piece and several emails later we were rolling! (Or at least she was!) And I can’t even tell you how much luckier it gets. Not only is she a fabulous artist but an expert on the blog layouts/print work/illustrations/etc. You name it, she can do it!
Here is my one of kind art piece for my Craft Studio.
She then took my art work and created a custom header for my blog.
I asked her to create an “over-the- top-multitasking-avatar” and this is my new design.
And from that she created individual buttons/avatars/gravatars for each of my obsessions. I thought these would be great for the beginning of each of my blog posts. I love how it ties everything together!
She then took this design and created a unique calling card/gift card for me! We ordered them from a great company and all the cards are made of 100% recycled paper and soy ink! I will feature the multiarm on the other side. Love it!
She was organized, professional, fast, super nice, and best of all SUPER CREATIVE! So this is a big THANK YOU to JAR. My new found artist friend and fellower blogger! You are awesome and I appreciate all that you have done for me! You rock!!!! Check her out at all our favorite and familiar places:
